Reynard the Fox

Tonight my Dad gave me an old program to a puppet show that he took me to in Atlanta back in the 1970’s. I remember that it was a production of one of Aesop‘s fables: the Fox and the Grapes.

What I didn’t know about the show hit me right between the eyes when I opened it… the very first person listed in the credits was the Technical Director, Dwight Creel… as in my friend and former boss, Dwight Benjamin-Creel.

  1. What a blast for us old timers. Look closely at the credits you’ll see others that went on to film. Unfortunately, some have moved way on, if you know what I mean. The late Ben jones (actor), The departed Eric Magnuson (Set Construction. Some are still working like (Asst Director) Michael Swafford, now a full time first asst. accountant and world traveler. Who says there is no future in theatre? Ha HA!
