This is neat. With the recent debut of a Macintosh version of Google Earth my friend David Goldwasser up in Memphis, Tennessee, has begun experimenting with tagging Google maps with full-screen panoramic images over at FullScreenPanos.com. The photos from Savannah are so big and realistic that you’ll feel like you’re on vacation!
Over the last eight or nine years David’s hobby has really taken off, allowing him to leave the architecture firm he was working with so that he could pursue more architectural photography work. If you think that the QuickTime panoramas are neat then you should click over to the “scratchbox” on his company site where he posts interesting experiments and amazing photos. Soon enough you should expect to see a lot of panoramic diaper-changing photos… David and his wife are expecting their first child this year!
